ABOUT TERRY
Terry Tuff brings a smooth, old school story telling brand of comedy to the stage that deals with every day life issues that include politics, marriage and race to name just a few. He also has the unique ability to make you think and laugh through his original hilarious characters. But what distinguishes Terry from most other comedians is his ability to make you laugh about any topic but with clean and funny humor.
Terry began his comedy career in 1987 but it was not long before he began to make a name for himself in the business. He quickly rose to the top of the comedy chain and started working clubs such as the Laugh Factory, Comedy Store and the Improv. Terry has been featured at the Montreal Comedy Festival and his television appearances include HBO, Show Time and BET just to name a few.
Terry is a very versatile entertainer and this versatility allowed him to take his talents to radio. While in radio Terry hosted, created radio characters and executive produced morning radio shows. He also hosted a national sports show on XM satellite radio. Terry is a great writer and has written comedy for the likes of Rickey Smiley and Oscar Award Winner Monique.
But Terry Tuff’s true passion is the comedy stage. He loves the purity of stand up comedy. Terry was featured on the Beyond the Dream, a show hosted by Kelly Wright from the Fox News Network. In that interview Terry was asked what excites him about stand up comedy. Terry’s response was, “I love being able to go on stage armed with nothing but my mind, a mic and a stool, it does not get any better than that”. Terry has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the entertainment business, D.L. Hughley, Steve Harvey, Frankie Beverly & Maze and Dianna Ross among many others.
